Treno Bus delle Dolomiti
PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TRENITALIA AND DOLOMITIBUS WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE VENETO REGION
Consult timetables: Treno Bus Delle Dolomiti
Il TrenoBus delle Dolomiti is an intermodal service enabling cycling tourists and trekking lovers to use the Dolomite circuit cycle track taking in Calalzo, Cortina, Misurina and Auronzo, a much sought after destination by fans of cycling, mountain biking and also normal town bikes, as well as a great help for those who love trekking enabling them to reach the trailheads for unforgettable walks of all difficulty levels. It is an unforgettable occasion to visit all the Belluno area’s many tourist attractions as a UNESCO heritage site with the foundation also sponsoring the Treno Bus service this year.
This summer all trains arriving from Conegliano and Belluno will be equipped with 7 bicycle places and two buses with cycle facilities will depart from Calalzo every day transporting bicycles for the Dolomite circuit: one in a clockwise and one in an anti-clockwise direction. On Saturdays and bank holidays trains from Venice, Vicenza and Padua will be able to change directly to a further two buses equipped with cycle facilities. Every day in summer it will thus be possible to visit our wonderful mountains in a sustainable way and also plan multiple day journeys.
Buses with cycle transport trailers will thus cover the circuit from Calalzo every day passing through San Vito di Cadore, Cortina, Cimabanche, Carbonin, Misurina, Palus S. Marco and Auronzo and then returning to Calalzo. At the weekends there will be two clockwise and two anti-clockwise trips and one of each from Monday to Friday. This year buses are equipped with onboard wi-fi and it will be possible to change bus in Misurina for the Tre Cime shuttle and in Cortina for the Dobbiaco bus.
The initiative will last all summer – 11/6/17 – 10/9/17 – from Monday to Sunday, not just weekends as it was last year. Anyone without a bicycle wanting to rent one can do so at various points of the circuit including at discounted rates for Carta Unica Veneto holders and those with Trenobus delle Dolomiti tickets
